Edgworth Folk Festival

The festival is a charity event which is run for the benefit of the Barlow Institute, a community centre and wonderful historic building in the very centre of the village of Edgworth near Bolton in Lancashire. It takes place usually on the first weekend of October. All proceeds go to the Barlow Trust. There are concerts, workshops, singarounds, music sessions, dance displays, a ceilidh, lectures, demonstrations, with a bar and food available. All the artists and workshop leaders give their time and talents for free for which we are immensely grateful. We are proud that the festival attracts guests and visitors from all over the country to share our love of great folk music and camaraderie.

2020 is the Festival's 10th anniversary. Because of the current restrictions, we regret that the 2020 Edgworth Festival will not be taking place.

We are busy planning 2021 and look forward to seeing you all then. Watch this space for news.
